Mission:

Corruption Alert Uganda empowers young leaders with the knowledge, skills, resources and opportunities they need to be successful ambassadors in the fight against corruption.

 

The  idea  was  conceived in 2007, due  to  the  continuing  deadly  scourge  of  corruption  that  is  eating  up  Africa. The Initiator believes that this silent scourge must be given attention like any other disease to save our future generations.

 

One  striking  feature  that  surrounds  the  rampant  corruption  in  Uganda  as  published  by  Transparency  International  is  lack  of  information  dissemination  to  the  public  especially  the  local  populace  and  tax  payers.

 

Its  with  this  back  ground  that  we developed  the  concept  of  Corruption  Alert  Uganda with an aim of creating awareness of the deadly monster.

 

So  many  people  think  that  corruption  only  means  embezzlement  of  public  funds  and  there  has  not  been  any tangible  efforts  towards  explanation  of  the  corrupt,  design  information  about  the  wide  Scope  of  corruption, definition,  forms  and  culprits.

 

Corruption  Alert Uganda (CAU)  therefore  supplements the  efforts  of  different  NGOs  involved  in  the  fight  against  corruption,  government  bodies  such  as  IGGs  office  and  the  society.

 

Corruption Alert Uganda (CAU) takes on an  in  depth  analysis  of  corruption  at  different  levels  of  local  government, different institutions, communities and in the central Government.
